Feasibility Study Overview

As we begin to gear up for fall, Christ Church UCC celebrates all that God has given to us. There is much to be joyful about including welcoming new members and holding our first Threads and Treads event to support students in the Elizabethtown School District.

While we rejoice for all that has happened so far this year, we also want to look to the future, being good stewards of all that God has provided. As you may know, we have spent the past two years discerning the current priority needs of our church. Many of you have been on this journey with us as we have asked for your feedback through surveys and discussions at our congregational forums. We cannot thank you enough for your continued support, prayers and insights!

Through these efforts, facilitated by our Imagine the Future Dream Team, we heard and analyzed your ideas and continued to evaluate the needs of our building, congregation and community members. As we stated at our September 2023 congregational forum, the road ahead makes an investment in Christ Church’s future.

This accessibility vision makes our church accessible to all, opening our doors to new people, organizations and ministries. Our building, while just bricks and mortar, allows us the opportunity to offer a safe and secure place to worship and offer our many ministries and programs.

Prior to moving forward with any campaign, it is important for leadership to hear from each of our households one final time. As such, the last step is a feasibility study. So that your input can be received in an organized, timely, and fruitful fashion, we are blessed to be collaborating with Kirby-Smith Associates. It is our wish to build a vision together with our church family.

Your input is essential to this process! Richie Musser and his team will be reaching out to you in the next week or so to ask for your valuable feedback. You will be able to arrange to meet with them (sign up via the link below) by phone, Zoom, or in person.

Additionally, a short survey is available online by clicking the button below. We would be grateful if you could complete this survey (online or the paper version you received in the mail) by September 22, 2024.

In closing, we ask for your openness to this process, for your faithful stewardship, and—most importantly—for your prayers: please pray that the Lord will continue to guide and bless our ministries here at Christ Church!

God’s Blessings,

Kim Wolgemuth, Dale Mease, Ginny Bishop, and Cris Dinsmore
